COLD PRESS Detox Program [review] - Is it worth it?

Hi guys!! Today's post is little bit different with my usual posts, as I'm not coming with another cosmetic product review but a COLD-PRESSED JUICE. Yes, juices! Few weeks ago I got a chance to try Detox Program from Cold Press Indonesia. I was offered by Mr. E from Cold Press to try these cold-pressed juices. Thank you Cold Press! :)

Actually I never thought of trying any Detox program... Not because I'm underestimated the power of detox, but I simply thought that I would never can pass a day without eating. Yeah, if you see me in real life, you won't believe if I have such a big appetite. Even my boyfriend is still amazed by my ability XDD
He often proudly tell his friends over my ability to eat in enormous amount but still being so skinny. I also wonder myself LOL @_@ But of course always regard this ability as a God's grace 

Ahem, back to the topic. For my detox program, COLD PRESS INDONESIA initially recommended me to try 3 days detox program; but since I live in Surabaya, they suggested 2 DAYS PROGRAM to maintain the freshness of the cold-pressed juices. Cold Press Indonesia only produces cold-pressed juice with best quality of raw fruits. After being produced, the cold-pressed juices should be consumed in maximum 4 days. If you live outside Jakarta, they still can deliver your juices via cargo express service (they sent me the juices via Garuda Indonesia Cargo Service). But if you live in Jakarta, it's way easier to you to enjoy their products and service :D

If you dig more information in Cold Press ID's website, you'll find that the founders seriously designed those detox programs through in-depth research (as the founder also took Food Science & Nutrition degree herself) and they pursue to make healthy lifestyle as a habit. So now you might ask, WHY you need to detox your bodies? 
Taken from here are 10 reasons why you need to do detox:

  1. Remove toxins from the body 
    Toxins from environmental pollutants, chemical, preservatives, pesticides, heavy metals and industrial waste that affects our metabolism, immune system, behavior and leads to disease.

  1. BEFORE DETOX: To maximize the impact of detox, @ColdPressID strongly recommended us to prepare ourselves 3 days prior to detox schedule. Like eliminating alcohol, caffeine (coffee, soda, tea), nicotine, refined sugar (bottled/canned drinks, bottled juices), dairy products, processed foods, refined straches, meat & poultry. Instead, you should take more fruits, increase water intake and subtitue morning coffee with a cup of herbal tea.
  2. DETOX DAYS: Drink the cold-pressed juices consecutively (started from number 1 to number 6). There is 1,5 to 2,5 hours gap for each bottles. Drink the juice slowly rather than gulping it down all in one go, to optimize the absorption of nutrients. You're not allowed to eat anything and only consume the juices.
    During the cleanse, you can help the elimination of toxins with exercises, massage, herbal laxatives, and exfoliating the skin.
  3. AFTER DETOX: Instead of having usual meal straight away, you should have small portions of meals consisting of raw fruits and vegetables. Soups, salads, smoothies and juices are also recommended.
NOTE: Keep hydrate yourself daily at least 2.5L of water everyday.

How does it taste?
Because it contains lots of veggies, of course it smells like veggies juice and it taste like veggies as well '__' Thank Apple for spreading sweetness among those greenies XD Surprisingly it still appetizing and doesn't taste bad at all. The juice itself was watery, fresh and no residue.
Baunya sayur-sayuran banget, rasa juga berasa sayur banget '__' Ketolong ada rasa manis karena ada apelnya XD Syukurlah ga bikin mual atau eneg. Ini benar-bener sari sayur dan buah yang raw dan fresh, jadi minumannya encer tidak berserat dan hampir tdk ada residu.

It’s an all powerful cleansing juice! (500ml)

Pear, Orange, Cucumber, Lettuce, Kale, Spinach

How does it taste?
It has similar scent like the Green Boost juice. It tastes like veggies juice as well, but much fresher because it contains more fruits :)
Baunya mirip seperti Jus Green Boost. Rasanya juga sayur banget tapi terasa lebih segar karena lebih banyak kandungan buahnya :)

A charge of electrolytes to hydrate (500ml)

Coconut, Blueberry, Pear

How does it taste?
In my opinion, the scent of pear dominates the juice. The mix of blueberry, pear and coconut made the juice become sweet, fresh and not sour. Though it wasn't added sugar, it tastes yummy :D
Bau buah pir nya lbh kuat. Kombinasi buah bluebbery, pir dan buah kelapanya bikin rasanya jadi manis segar (padahal tanpa gula sama sekali) dan ngga kecut :D

Live longer, healthier and better (500ml)

Blueberry, Grape, Cucumber, Apple, Pear

How does it taste?
I can't describe the taste well, but it's rich, fresh and sweet, even sweeter than the Cocoberry Juice. It has grainy texture and I really like the taste ^_^
Aku ngga bisa menggambarkan rasanya kayak gimana... tapi jus ini kaya rasa, segar dan manis. Bahkan lebih manis drpd Jus Cocoberry Rasanya enak dan teksturnya lebih terasa.

Wrinkle free, immunity booster, and lower cholesterol! (500ml)

Strawberry, Blueberry, Apple, Cucumber, Carrot

How does it taste?
It smells like a carrot juice, and the taste was more dominated with carrot as well. But it's still enjoyable :) It has smooth texture and yummy.
Baunya wortel, dan rasanya pun lebih dominan ke wortel. Tapi masih bisa dinikmati kok :) 
Teksturnya relatif lembut dan enak

Watermelon, Pineapple, Mint

How does it taste?
The scent was dominated with Watermelon, it has similar taste with Fountain of Youth juice mixed with watermelon flavor, along with the mint's freshness.
Baunya yg dominan adalah semangka, rasanya sedikit mirip Jus Fountain of Youth yang bercampur rasa semangka dengan tambahan kesegaran daun mint.

Can I survive?

BTW, before started the detox program. I asked two friends of mine that also tried Cold Press Detox Programs. They said they didn't feel hungry because the juices were too much. I doubted myself that I could survive 2 days without meal, my BF doubted me as well -__- Hmm let's see...


During the cleanse, I have good digestion (not constipation) and runny nose it the morning. I blew my nose few times and my nose stopped runny in the afternoon. FYI, I have some allergic with cold temperature and dust. I felt little bit dizzy in the afternoon but I survived till the night.
I slightly felt hungry (remember that I have big appetite? LOL) but it's still bearable

HARI KE-1: Selama detox hari pertama, pencernaan jadi lancar, hidung agak meler di pagi hari. Setelah buang ingus beberapa kali, siang hari sudah tidak meler. Btw aku punya alergi terhadap debu dan hawa dingin. Aku merasa agak pusing pada waktu siang hari tapi bisa survive sampai hari ke 2. Aku merasa sedikit laper (inget kan kalo aku punya nafsu makan yang besar? Haha), tapi masih bisa kutahan.

I woke up with hungry stomach and I gulped a glass of water before drink 1st bottle. I tried to survive all day but I felt so powerless and I gave up at my 2 last bottles (around 5 PM). I was terribly starving and gastric pain was torturing me T___T Finally I told Mr. E that I couldn't hold it anymore. He said "Oh you have gastric pain? You should've drink lemon water in the morning before started the detox... But it's OK, your detox program will be counted as 1 day detox. You may eat rice and drink the rest of juices as additional nutrients."

OH MY... I feel bad for not finishing the Day 2 but the gastric pain was kinda intolerable and I need to keep it calm by eating something :')

HARI KE-2: Aku bangun dengan perut lapar dan aku minum segelas air sebelum minum botol yang pertama. Aku berusaha bertahan sepanjang hari tapi aku merasa lemes banget dan aku menyerah sebelum meneguk 2 botol terakhir (sekitar jam 5 sore), karena aku merasa lapaar banget dan sakit maag ini menyikasku T__T Akhirnya aku bilang menyerah kepada Mr. E bahwa aku ngga bisa meneruskan detox ini. Dia bilang "Oh kamu punya sakit maag ya? Harusnya tadi pagi sebelum detox kamu minum air lemon dulu... Tapi gak pa-pa, kamu makan aja tapi tetap jusnya diminum sebagai tambahan nutrisi."

Yhaaa aku merasa gagal karena gak bisa menyelesaikan hari ke-2, tapi sakit maag nya lumayan gak bisa ditolerir dan aku butuh makan untuk mendiamkan sakit maag ku :')


Because I only succeed 1 day of detox program, the result wasn't really visible yet :s
I read some websites about detox and they recommend 10 days up to 21 days for visible result. OMG that's way far beyond my capability. I probably will be a walking skeleton after 21 days of detox XDDD

But I notice that my body felt so refreshed after the detox, and I have good digestion (until now).
My menstrual cramp wasn't as bad as before and my appetite is little bit controllable. I used to eat snacks after 10 PM (I know it's a bad habit) and it doesn't happen that often now :)

PS: Unfortunately I forgot to check my weight before detox schedule, but usually my weight is quite stable. When I checked out my weight the day after detox day, my weight is still relatively same with the last time I checked it out. So I assumed that the detox program didn't affect my weight, because that's not my aim. (If you are looking for another the weight-loss detox program, Cold Press provides it) ^_^

Karena aku hanya berhasil menjalankan 1 hari program detox, hasilnya pun belum terlalu kelihatan :s Aku baca-baca beberapa website dan ada yang rekomen untuk melakukan detox 10 sampai 21 hari untuk hasil yang lebih nyata. Yaampun itu sih bener-bener di luar batas kemampuanku. Aku mungkin bakal jadi tengkorak berjalan setelah 21 hari detox XDDD

Eh tapi setidaknya ada hal yang baik lho setelah aku detox itu: aku merasa badanku segar, pencernaanku bagus (sampai sekarang), nyeri haid ku ngga separah dulu dan selera makanku sedikit agak terkontrol. Biasanya aku masih ngemil diatas jam 10 (aku tau itu kebiasaan jelek) tapi sekarang udah lebih jarang :)

PS: Sayangnya aku lupa cek berat badanku sebelum memulai program detox, tapi biasanya BB ku cukup stabil kok. Keesokan hari setelah menyelesaikan program detox, aku cek BB aku dan masih relatif sama dengan terakhir kali aku cek. Jadi aku menyimpulkan bahwa berat badanku ngga berubah, karena bukan itu tujuanku sih. (Kalau kalian mau cari program detox yang ada efek menurunkan berat badan, Cold Press juga punya kok yang lain) ^_^


  1. If you have decided to do detox, don't try too hard for the first time. I think you should do the detox regularly and upgrade the dosage gradually. As the first time, you may start with 1 or 2 days and next month you may upgrade to 3 or 4 days and so on :)
  2. If you have gastric problem, don't forget to drink lemon water in the morning before start the detox
  3. Carefully pay attention to preparation before detox schedule, it will affect a lot
  4. Really take care of your health before and after detox schedule, sleep sufficiently, drink plenty of water and eat healthy.
  5. If possible, please don't do the detox program during your workdays, because it will affect your work. Detoxifying might cause light headed or nausea.

Pls excuse my bare face, that's my day off and I was too lazy to put some make up..Let my skin breathe freely :p

So, does this thing really work? It depends on your attention, effort, determination and duration

If you once have decided to do the detox program, please pay attention to all instructions for a best result. Especially when its price is quite costly (best product always comes with decent price, isn't it?), your attention, determination and effort are really matter. Duration is also matter, because cleansing away toxins wouldn't be done perfectly only in a day XD

Is it worth it? In my opinion, IT IS WORTH IT.
You'll get what you pay, and Cold Press comes with the best cold pressed juices in the market.

What we should expect?
Please don't expect something miraculous, since you will only do this program for 2-3 days.
But expect for better health, because you are cleansing away toxins from your body :)
I believe when you maintain healthy life style after the detox program (if possible, keep do the detox program few times a year), you will see the visible and greater result :)
